Benefactors Scheme

Orpheus Benefactors: £1,000 per annum

A donation of £1,000 enables us to cover the marketing and publicity costs of one of the concerts.

  • All benefits offered in the Friends Scheme.
  • An invitation for two to attend our ‘Annual Conductors Reception’, hosted by the Artistic Director and attended by guests, conductors and soloists.
  • Prestige VIP invitations to two of our concerts.

Orpheus Benefactor’s Chair Endowment Scheme: £1,500 per chair per annum.

A donation of £1,500 covers the full cost of keeping one member of the Orpheus Sinfonia involved in all of our projects (including Orpheus at Cadogan, Orpheus for Schools and Radley Farm) for a year. We are aiming to raise this core element of our annual funding by inviting members to sponsor a chair of the orchestra.

  • All of the above.
  • An invitation to attend the ‘Annual Patron’s Lunch’, hosted by three of our Patrons/Vice- Patrons (in previous years this has included both Dame Judi Dench and Aled Jones) and attended by a select number of artists who have made a particularly outstanding contribution to the concerts over the past year. The lunch takes place in a private room at a leading central London restaurant and offers the rare opportunity to hear very fine music in an intimate atmosphere, as well as discuss (and become part of) future plans and developments for the organisation.
  • Prestige VIP invitations to all of our concerts.
  • From time to time, we will be organising ‘Benefactor Receptions’ at which those subscribing to the Chair Endowment Scheme have the opportunity to meet the orchestral players they are supporting.

The following chairs are available for sponsorship:

  • Orchestral Leader
  • Principal Bassoon
  • Principal Trombone

Match-Funding, generously provided by MariaMarina Foundation

In a brand new initiative for 2010, the Orpheus Foundation has entered into a valuable partnership involving generous support from MariaMarina Foundation. An agreement put into place by Christopher Holder, Chairman of Fundraising and Chairman of The Friends, means that donations received from Orpheus Benefactors and those contributing to the Chair Endowment Scheme will be matched by MariaMarina Foundation - so that we will receive double the amount pledged. Therefore, donations of £1,000 or £1,500 actually generate £2,000 or £3,000 and even more if Gift- Aided.

The Orpheus Foundation would like to thank MariaMarina Foundation for their support
