Auditions

We are delighted to announce that auditions will be held in London on Saturday 26th June 2021, for which applications are warmly invited. String players are invited to apply for tutti positions, and to be considered for principal positions. Wind and Brass players are invited to apply for consideration for deputy lists.

To apply please complete the application form and submit this along with your CV to admin@orpheusfoundation.com by Wednesday 16th June 2021. Candidates will be required to perform the exposition of a well-known concerto of their choice. In addition candidates are also required to prepare orchestral excerpts as per the lists specified on the application form.

The audition will require you to perform the exposition of a well-known concerto of your choice and the orchestral excerpts as listed below.

Violin

The audition will require you to perform the exposition of a well-known concerto of your choice and the orchestral excerpts as listed below.

You are warmly invited to also play an excerpt of your choice on auxiliary instrument (piccolo, cor anglais, e-flat/bass clarinet and contra-bassoon), should you wish to – and we would recommend that you do, as we are looking for extra players with these doublings.
