Auditions are next expected to be held in Summer 2023. Full information will be announced here as soon as it is available.

Previous audition requirements are listed below to illustrate the likely material for future auditions. 

Strings

The audition will require you to perform the exposition of a well-known concerto of your choice and the orchestral excerpts as listed below.

Violin

  • Strauss Don Juan, Op. 201, page 1

Viola

Woodwind

The audition will require you to perform the exposition of a well-known concerto of your choice and the orchestral excerpts as listed below.

You are warmly invited to also play an excerpt of your choice on auxiliary instrument (piccolo, cor anglais, e-flat/bass clarinet and contra-bassoon), should you wish to – and we would recommend that you do, as we are looking for extra players with these doublings.
