Orpheus Sinfonia is seeking an outstanding individual to join our exceptional team.

Having reached an exciting point in our development, we are in a position to seek a new member of our team to be part of this journey and take Orpheus to the next level. 

The new role of development assistant will work closely with the General Manager in planning and executing Orpheus’s future. This role will focus on essential trusts and foundations work, whilst also encompassing development of opportunities for the organisation. It will be material role in generating invaluable funding through which Orpheus can grow to meet demand for its services. 

Essential skills:

  • Superb writing skills: presenting convincing, persuasive and succinct arguments, precisely tailored to each individual approach.
  • Proactive
  • Organised
  • Initiative taker
  • Eye for immaculate presentation

 You will have a degree and at least 3 years working experience in music or a relatable arts/education field.

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of the music industry.
  • Knowledge of arts fundraising.

You will report directly to the General Manager, who will instruct and develop the right candidate in this role.

This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to develop a unique and highly sought-after skill set.

Freelance position, 1 day per week, flexible hours. An initial 9-month role with scope for further development and continuation beyond that. This role will be working from home, with attendance at meetings as and when required.

Remuneration: £120 per day (£32,000 pro rata equivalent). This is a freelance, self-employed, position.

Orpheus Sinfonia Foundation is a charitable organisation. Behind its operations are the board of directors, patrons Sir Antonio Pappano and Dame Judi Dench, freelance management team, artistic team and active players’ committee.
