Jack Liebeck with Orpheus Sinfonia

Tuesday 17th June, 2014 7:30PM

Cadogan Hall, 5 Sloane Terrace, London SW1X 9DQ

We celebrate a home-coming with the music of London.  There can surely be no composer whose music is more British than Elgar?  His Enigma Variations was premiered in London in 1899 becoming one of his most popular pieces containing music of true beauty and expression.  We begin our concert with another British musical hero, Vaughan Williams, like Elgar, he studied at the Royal College of Music and his spirited, lively Wasps Overture has become a firm favourite.

We are delighted that the celebrated London-born violinist and Classical Brit Award winner Jack Liebeckwill join us to perform Walton’s evocative Violin Concerto.  We also look forward to discovering our new Orpheus Composer of the Year, whose work will be premiered this evening.

Enjoy the music of these ‘True Brits’ with Orpheus Sinfonia.
