The third and final round of this year’s competition will see a line-up of outstanding young pianists aged between 18 and 28 years old perform one of the greatest pieces in the concert pianist’s repertoire – Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16.  This will be a thrilling event!

The winner will receive the Richard Carne Award worth £1,000 and the opportunity to perform the Grieg Concerto with the Orpheus Sinfonia on Thursday 24 October 2013 in St George’s Church.  The runner-up will receive £500 in prize money.  We hope you will be able to  join us for the Final, and for the concert Scandinavia on 24 October, which will feature works by Sibelius, Nielsen, and Dag Wiren.
