There are two lunchtime recitals this season and both take place at St James’s Church, Piccadilly, London W1J 9LL.

As ever, entry to Orpheus’s lunchtime recitals is free.

The Palomino Quartet was formed in 2011 and is made up of former members of the Southbank Sinfonia. With the members coming from Ireland, Britain and New Zealand, they have a rich wealth of chamber music experience between them.

The Quartet are part of the King’s Place Chamber Music Scheme, receiving coaching from Simon Rowland Jones. They have performed in venues such as the Britten Theatre (RCM), St Peter’s Church in Streatham, St John’s Waterloo and also in the Anghiari Music Festival, Italy. Recent finalists in the Ernest Bloch Music Competition 2012, they enjoy playing a variety of music throughout London and their performances have been described as exuberant and energetic.
