Wednesday 12th November, 2014 1:10PM
St. James’ Church, Piccadilly, London W1J 9LL
The Phantasy Trio, formed in 2010, first met at Cambridge University when completing their undergraduate degrees, and have since all studied for their Masters at the Royal Academy of Music. As individuals they have won various competitions and enjoy busy performing careers as soloists, recitalists and orchestral principals. Since the trio’s formation they have enjoyed performing in concerts and competitions to critical acclaim and are looking forward to an increasingly busy performing schedule. They have enjoyed performances as far afield as Ischia, Italy and are delighted to have, in the few years since their formation, appeared in many of the countries major music festivals and venues, such as Newbury Spring Festival, Beaminster Festival, Colton Hall, Wycombe Arts Festival, Windsor Festival, Concordia Foundation and Cambridge Music Festival, to name but a few. The Phantasy Trio enjoys a continuing exploration of the repertoire for this exquisite and interesting combination, and are keen to commission new works as well as performing and rediscovering the full range of trio repertoire.
In this concert they present a programme of music by two of the great classical masters, exploring works that were the result of popular innovation at the time.
“They perform with great style and an evident passion for the music, and are great communicators with a range of audiences.“
Mark Eynon, Director, Newbury Spring Festival
